You are helping Mr. Chen, who has left-sided weakness after a stroke, transfer from his bed to a wheelchair. Where should you place the wheelchair?

Not quite — here's why

Transfers always move toward the client's stronger side. Placing the chair on Mr. Chen's right side at a slight angle lets him pivot on his stronger leg, shortens the distance, and lowers his risk of falling.

Mrs. Kovacs uses a two-wheeled walker. As you approach her room, you see her reaching for an item on the floor. What should you do?

Ask her to wait, then retrieve the item for her
Steady the walker while she bends down
Rationale · Bending from a walker shifts her centre of gravity outside her base of support — a common fall scenario the exam loves to test.

Explain the difference between assisting and administering medication…
Great scope-of-practice question. Assisting means the client stays in control — you might open a blister pack or steady a cup. Administering means you select the dose or place it in their mouth, which is outside PSW scope. Want three practice questions on this?

How it works

Diagnose. Drill. Confirm.

A three-step loop that turns study hours into real exam readiness.

Frequently asked questions

What is PSW TestPass Plus?
It's an exam-prep platform built specifically for Ontario Personal Support Worker students. You get 2,700+ exam-style practice questions with detailed rationales, 37 cheat sheets, 310 flashcards, full-length NACC-style mock exams, and a Study Coach — everything organized around the 14 categories your certification exam draws from.
Is it aligned with the NACC PSW exam?
Our question bank is written to the Ontario PSW program standard and mirrors the style, difficulty, and category weighting of the NACC certification exam. We are an independent study resource — not affiliated with or endorsed by NACC — but alignment with the current exam blueprint is exactly what we build for.
How many practice questions are there?
2,700+ scenario-based questions across 14 program subjects, from safety and mobility to palliative care. Every question includes a detailed rationale explaining why the correct answer is right and why the others are wrong. The free plan includes 25 of them.
Is there a mobile app?
The web app works beautifully on your phone today — most of our students study on mobile. Native iOS and Android apps are in development and coming soon; your account and progress will carry over automatically.
What does my readiness score mean?
After each readiness exam, your score lands in a band: below 50% means keep drilling fundamentals, 50–74% means you're borderline and should target weak categories, and 75%+ means you're exam ready. The 75% benchmark reflects the passing standard students prepare toward.
How does the Study Coach work?
Ask it anything from the PSW curriculum in plain language — like the difference between assisting and administering medication — and it finds the answer in our own PSW content library, ties it back to scope of practice, and can quiz you on it. Answers are drawn from our content and stay on your device rather than being sent to an outside AI service. It's available on the Plus plan, any time of day.
What do I get for free?
The free plan includes 25 practice questions with full rationales, 3 cheat sheets, the daily question of the day, and basic progress tracking. No credit card required — you can upgrade to Plus whenever you're ready.
How do I get help?
