Who we are
PSW TestPass Plus (“we”) provides exam-preparation software for Personal Support Worker students. For questions about this policy or your data, contact privacy@pswtestpassplus.com.
What we collect
Account information. Your name, email address, and password. Passwords are handled by Google Firebase Authentication and are never stored by us in readable form.
Study activity. Quiz and mock-exam attempts, which questions you answered and whether you got them right, your readiness scores, streaks, and an exam date if you set one. This is what makes progress tracking possible.
Preferences. Notification and study settings you choose.
Support messages. If you contact us, we keep the message and your contact details so we can reply.
Technical data. Basic operational logs from our hosting and database providers, used to keep the service running and secure.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your study data for advertising, and we do not share it with your employer or your college.
Why we process it
To create and secure your account, to show your progress and readiness scores, to deliver the notifications you turn on, to respond to support requests, and to understand in aggregate which topics students find hardest so we can improve the content.
Where it lives
The platform runs on Google Firebase. Account records and study data are stored in Cloud Firestore in a multi-region location in the United States, which means your information is processed outside Canada and may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.
Third-party services
Payments. When you purchase Plus, our payment processor Stripe handles your payment. We receive your email and a record of the purchase; we never receive or store your card number.
Sign-in providers. If you sign in with Google or Apple, those providers share your name and email with us so we can create and identify your account.
Crash reporting. Our mobile app uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and basic device information so we can fix problems.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and study data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile, study attempts, and preferences are deleted. Support correspondence may be retained for up to 24 months, and backups age out on our provider's retention schedule.
Your choices
From Settings you can review your profile, change your preferences, turn notifications on or off, export a copy of your data as a file, clear the study data stored on your device, and delete your account permanently.
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA and applicable provincial legislation) you may also request access to your personal information, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
The platform is intended for adult learners enrolled in or preparing for a PSW program. It is not directed at children under 16.
Changes
If we make a material change to this policy we will update the date above and notify signed-in students in the app.
